Our Motto
Education is a Right,
Not a Privilege.
This is the belief that drives every class we teach, every essay we review, and every student we mentor. No barrier, political or otherwise, should stand between a young person and their future.
About Afghan Scholars Academy
Founded in February 2024, Afghan Scholars Academy provides free mentorship and educational programs to Afghan students, especially girls, who face serious barriers to accessing education. Our goal is to give every Afghan student the opportunity to learn, grow, and pursue higher education by removing barriers and creating equal access to learning.
Our mission is to make education accessible for all Afghan students, especially girls whose learning has been blocked by the Taliban's restrictions. Through free programs, mentorship, and a strong learning community, we help students build the confidence, skills, and opportunities they need to succeed in global education and beyond.
Our vision is to create a learning space for youth affected by school closures and bans, where they can access quality education and reach their full potential. We aim to support a new generation of thoughtful, compassionate, and skilled young people who can lead their communities and contribute to peace and progress.

Our Founder
Feda Mohammadi is the Founder and President of Afghan Scholars Academy and a first-generation student at Berea College in Kentucky, USA, where he studies Quantitative Economics and Mathematics (minor in Computer Science). He was born and raised in a rural village in Jaghori, Ghazni, Afghanistan, and comes from a modest family background.
At a young age, after finishing high school, Feda began teaching English at local language centers and continued his social work across Afghanistan. His early work focused on supporting students from low-income families and those affected by war to help them prepare for English exams and apply for international scholarships.
In response to the Taliban's ban on girls' education, Feda founded ASA in early 2024. Since then, ASA has supported over 3,000 Afghan students, most of them girls, by offering free online classes, mentorship, and college application guidance.
In recognition of his work, Feda received the Ambassador for Peace Award (2020), the Youth Leader Award (2021), and in 2024, the prestigious Diana Award, the highest recognition for young people making positive social change, established in memory of Princess Diana.
