The Crisis We're Addressing
"2.2 million Afghan girls have been banned from education since 2021."

Under Taliban rule, millions of Afghan youth, especially girls, have lost access to schools, universities, and the futures they deserve. Afghan Scholars Academy exists to bridge that gap, providing free, world-class educational support to every student who needs it.

Feda Mohammadi

Founder & President

Feda Mohammadi, ASA's Founder and President, is an undergraduate student at Berea College studying Quantitative Economics and Mathematics (minor in Computer Science). Besides his interest in development economics, Causal Inference, and Machine Learning, he has a deep passion for education advocacy and helping others grow.

Vice-president

Sami Mahmodi is a passionate Computer Science graduate from Aria University with expertise in web design, development, and digital marketing. He currently works as a Website Developer at Sama Consulting and contributes to the Afghan Network for Social Services (ANSS).

Program Coordinator

Samundra Adhikari is a Quantitative Economics student at Berea College and an undergraduate research assistant at Duke University. At ASA, he serves as Program Coordinator, playing a key role in the day-to-day management and coordination of our programs. Samundra brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to everything he does, helping ensure our initiatives run smoothly and our students get the support they need.
